I get asked all the time how I do it all. How I balance my role as a mother of five boys, run a photography business, own a furniture store, keep my nursing license, and still find time to craft and maybe go on a date with my husband once in a while.
The truth is...I don't do it all perfectly. Yes, I do have many roles, but most of the time it's just a balancing act from one thing to the next. The majority of the time there are unfinished projects everywhere or projects I wish I could do, dishes in my sink, laundry that needs to be put away, and photos that need to be edited.
Keeping a schedule and managing my time well is something I have had to learn the hard way. When I first started my photography business I scheduled way too many sessions because the opportunity was there. I didn't think about my sanity or my family life. Since that time of total chaos, I have learned some really good time management skills and usually stay on top of the major tasks.
