My style is my own personal inspiration. I don’t hold a design degree nor have I ever taken any interior design classes. In fact, I attended college for a completely different degree. I have a Bachelors Degree in science. I am a Registered Nurse.
While my style of design might not follow all the “rules,” it’s completely “me” and what works for my home. I absolutely love interior design! This love of design and creating something beautiful started out at a very young age for me. I am always wanting to rearrange rooms in my house or redecorate areas that need some special touches.
Along with designing my own home, my husband and I own a furniture store in our small town. We didn’t ever imagine owning a furniture store, but sometimes things just kind of fall into place how they are supposed to. We have owned the store for five years. I have designed rooms in many people’s homes, business offices, and also design parts of our furniture store. For those of you who own your own business, you understand the hard reality of how many hours actually goes into running a business, however if I didn’t own a store, I wouldn’t be able to showcase my design work.
